One of America's greatest poets, Emily Dickinson, lived a life of quiet seclusion. A master of the short lyric poem, Dickinson's preoccupation with death and immortality permeated many of her greatest works. Reproduced here is Dickinson's handwritten draft of "I died for beauty - but was rare."

Paperblanks is a Canadian manufacturer that produces quality journals that are not only attractive but also extremely well-structured and bound using traditional techniques; the bindings are not glued (a binding technique that is economical for the manufacturer but eventually leads to page loss) but are instead all sewn.
All Paperblanks journals are bound using one of two methods. They are either hand-sewn using 'Coptic' binding, which dates back to 4th-century Egypt, or Smyth sewn, the most durable binding technique, which allows the journal to open flat without any page loss.
All Paperblanks journals use acid-free, archival-quality, high-opacity, laid writing paper. Their journals also feature a ribbon page marker and an interior pouch inside the back cover to store your notes.
