The Milan Cathedral (Duomo di Milano) represents the pinnacle of Italian Gothic architecture. The design recreated here is part of a series proposed by architect Paolo Cesa Bianchi for the decoration of the Cathedral’s interior vaults. The soaring arabesques create a faux-relief treillage look against a gold background.

Paperblanks is a Canadian manufacturer that produces quality notebooks that are not only attractive but also extremely well-structured and bound using traditional techniques; the bindings are not glued (a binding technique that may be economical for the manufacturer but eventually leads to page loss) but are instead all sewn.
All Paperblanks notebooks are bound using one of two methods. They are either hand-sewn using 'Coptic' binding, which originated in 4th-century Egypt, or Smyth sewn, which is the most durable binding technique and allows the notebook to lie flat without page loss.
All Paperblanks notebooks use acid-free, archival-quality, high-opacity, finely laid writing paper. Their notebooks also feature a ribbon marker and an inner pocket inside the back cover to store your notes.
