    In the beloved comic book series and the countless films it has inspired, the cunning and sly little warrior Asterix relies on his wits to survive the challenges he faces around the world. Never without his friend Obelix, who possesses superhuman strength from falling into a cauldron of magic potion as a child, and his canine eco-warrior sidekick Dogmatix, Asterix and his friends protect their land from Roman occupation. With their determined resourcefulness, steel helmets and signature wit, they embark on adventures to lands near and far. From the Swiss mountains to the pyramids of Egypt, these fearless Gauls remain indomitable!

    Our collaborative The Adventures of Asterix series combines the enthusiasm and energy of the Asterix comics with the classic Paperblanks aesthetic. These designs remind us of our own childhoods, when we eagerly awaited the latest adventures of the Gallic warriors. Much more than a trip down memory lane, this series is a chance to share the joy of these classic stories with a new audience.

    Though Asterix takes the lead, he would not get very far without Obelix and his many friends and cohorts. Our Obelix & Co. cover combines the illustrative energy of the comics with the antique look of classic Paperblanks designs, creating a beautiful blend that captures the spirit of these beloved characters.

    We are honored to partner with Les Éditions Albert René to share these iconic characters with a new generation and continue to bring literature to life through our products.

  • Paperblanks is a Canadian manufacturer that produces quality notebooks that are not only attractive but also extremely well-structured and bound using traditional techniques; the bindings are not glued (a binding technique that is economical for the manufacturer but eventually leads to page loss) but are instead all sewn.

    All Paperblanks notebooks are bound using one of two methods. They are either hand-sewn using 'Coptic' binding, which dates back to 4th-century Egypt, or Smythe-sewn, the most durable binding technique, which allows the notebook to lie flat without page loss.

    All Paperblanks notebooks use acid-free, archival-quality, high-opacity, fine-laid writing paper. Their notebooks also feature a ribbon page marker and an inner pocket inside the back cover for storing your notes.
