Paperblanks is a Canadian manufacturer that produces quality journals that are not only attractive but also extremely well-structured, bound using traditional techniques; the bindings are not glued (a binding technique that is economical for the manufacturer but eventually leads to page loss) but are instead all stitched.
All Paperblanks journals are bound using one of two methods. They are either hand-stitched using 'Coptic' binding, which dates back to 4th-century Egypt, or Smyth sewn, which is the most durable binding technique, allowing the journal to lie flat without page loss.
All Paperblanks journals use acid-free, archival-quality, high-opacity laid writing paper. Their journals also include a ribbon bookmark and an interior pocket inside the back cover to store your notes.
