The location of this particular binding is as beautiful as its covers. It is housed in the Benjamin Iveagh Library, a beautiful wood-paneled room in Dublin, Ireland, that contains over 5,000 books and manuscripts. The collection, located at Farmleigh House in Phoenix Park, belongs to Marsh’s Library, a perfectly preserved library from the early Enlightenment that has remained virtually unchanged for three centuries. Within its walls are dark oak bookcases filled with 25,000 18th-century books, manuscripts, and maps. Marsh’s Library, which gives our collection its name, was the only public library in Dublin for the first century and a half of its existence. The original binding reproduced here contained the Book of Common Prayer and the Administration of the Sacraments... along with the Book of Psalms, which was the standard text used in Anglican church services. This edition was published by the famous printer and entrepreneur John Baskerville (1707–1775), who designed the eponymous serif typeface still used worldwide today. The Book of Common Prayer was purchased in the late 1980s by the Irish bibliophile Benjamin Guinness, 3rd Earl of Iveagh (1937–1992). It is bound in red morocco with gold tooling, gilded edges, and smooth marbled endpapers. We are thrilled to reproduce this magnificent antique binding in a captivating green hue that pays tribute to our shared Irish roots. We hope the floral motifs in this Emerald Floral design will inspire you to embrace nature’s bounty and the gifts of knowledge.

Paperblanks is a Canadian manufacturer that produces quality notebooks that are not only attractive but also extremely well-constructed, bound using traditional techniques; the bindings are not glued (a technique that is economical for the manufacturer but eventually leads to page loss) but are instead all sewn.
All Paperblanks notebooks are bound using two methods. They are either hand-sewn using 'Coptic' binding, which originated in 4th-century Egypt, or Smyth sewn, which is the most durable binding technique and allows the notebook to open flat without page loss.
All Paperblanks notebooks use acid-free, archival-quality, high-opacity laid writing paper. The notebooks also include a ribbon page marker and an inner pocket inside the back cover to store your notes.
