  • Marie SkÅ‚odowska Curie (1867-1934) was a Polish-born scientist who later became a French citizen, known for her research on radioactivity. Her discoveries, which appeared to contradict the principle of conservation of energy, forced a re-evaluation of the foundations of physics. For this design, we have reproduced a page from one of her notebooks.

  • Paperblanks is a Canadian manufacturer that produces quality notebooks that are not only attractive but also extremely well-structured, bound using traditional techniques; the bindings are not glued (a binding technique that, while economical for the manufacturer, eventually leads to page loss) but are instead all sewn.

All Paperblanks notebooks are bound using one of two methods. They are either hand-sewn using 'Coptic' binding, which originated in 4th-century Egypt, or Smythe-sewn, the most durable binding technique, which allows the notebook to open flat without any page loss.

All Paperblanks notebooks use acid-free, archival-quality, and highly opaque fine-laid writing paper. Their notebooks also feature a ribbon bookmark and an inner pocket on the inside back cover to store your notes.
