  • Diamond Jubilee Ultra Journal                                                                          Sangorski & Sutcliffe

Combining royal splendor with the elegance of jewel-encrusted craftsmanship, this magnificent design is inspired by the British bookbinding studio Sangorski & Sutcliffe, world-renowned for their gem-encrusted bindings.

The original example of the design was created in 1922 to house the poem "Recessional," which Rudyard Kipling penned in 1897 for Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee.

Utilizing genuine turquoise, aquamarine, and ruby stones, this rare binding reflects the grandiose aesthetic of the era, becoming a unique work of art that marries the brilliance of jewels with the grace of literature.

Diamond Jubilee is a design that carries the glory of the past into the present, bearing traces of royalty in the shimmer of its stones and the elegance of the old world in its golden details.

  • Paperblanks is a Canadian manufacturer that produces quality journals that are not only attractive but also extremely well-structured and bound using traditional techniques; the bindings are not glued (a binding technique that, while economical for the manufacturer, eventually leads to page loss) but are instead all sewn.

All Paperblanks journals are bound using one of two methods. They are either hand-sewn using 'Coptic' binding, which originated in 4th-century Egypt, or Smyth sewn, which is the most durable binding technique, allowing the journal to lie flat without page loss.

All Paperblanks journals use acid-free, archival-quality, high-opacity, laid writing paper. Their journals also include a ribbon bookmark and an interior pocket inside the back cover to store your notes.
