Vincent van Gogh (1853-1890) was one of the great post-Impressionist painters. After moving to the town of Arles in 1888, he began experimenting with still-life works he called his "color studies." We are honored to partner with the Barnes Foundation to add one of Van Gogh's most beautiful still-life works to our collection.

Paperblanks is a Canadian manufacturer that produces high-quality journals that are not only attractive but also extremely well-structured, bound using traditional techniques; the bindings are not glued (a binding technique that is economical for the manufacturer but eventually leads to page loss) but are instead all sewn.
All Paperblanks journals are bound using one of two methods. They are either hand-sewn using 'Coptic' binding, which originated in 4th-century Egypt, or Smythe sewn, which is the most durable binding technique, allowing the journal to open flat without page loss.
All Paperblanks journals use acid-free, archival-quality, high-opacity laid writing paper. Their journals also include a ribbon marker and an interior pocket inside the back cover to store your notes.
