Paperblanks is a Canadian manufacturer that produces quality notebooks that are not only attractive but also extremely well-structured, bound using traditional techniques; the bindings are not glued (a binding technique that is economical for the manufacturer but eventually leads to page loss), but are instead all stitched.
All Paperblanks notebooks are bound using one of two methods. They are either hand-stitched using 'Coptic' binding, which originated in 4th-century Egypt, or Smyth sewn, which is the most durable binding technique and allows the notebook to open flat without losing pages.
All Paperblanks notebooks use fine laid writing paper that is acid-free, archival quality, and has high opacity. Their notebooks also feature a ribbon marker and an inner pocket inside the back cover to store your notes.

In the early 1990s, Vic Marks, a writer and publisher who aimed to create the perfect notebook, connected with Supriti Bharma, a lifelong learner looking to experiment with new forms of artistic and spiritual expression. The creative chemistry between these two seekers was instantaneous. They shared a desire to express themselves, travel, learn new traditions, and discover new truths about themselves. And together, they created that special journal Vic had envisioned, which became the first Paperblanks product in 1992.
Vic and Supriti's creative energies and passion for experimentation led them beyond the first notebook, and the Paperblanks brand has grown organically ever since. From their first office in Vancouver, Canada, to their European headquarters in Dublin, Ireland, they have traveled the world to follow their passion. People from all walks of life and all corners of the globe have joined the Paperblanks family, bringing with them their unique backgrounds, independent voices, and diverse cultures that introduce new ideas and perspectives to our company.
