Our Vienna Fruit design features the work of renowned Art Nouveau illustrator Anton Seder. It was designed with inspiration from his 1890 work, Die Pflanze in Kunst und Gewerbe (The Plant in Art and Trade). Seder’s harmonious use of space, abundance of detail and intimate depiction of natural elements drew us to this work.

Paperblanks is a Canadian manufacturer that produces quality journals that are not only attractive but also extremely well-structured, bound using traditional techniques; the bindings are not glued (a binding technique that is economical for the manufacturer but eventually leads to page loss), but instead, they are all sewn.
All Paperblanks journals are bound using one of two methods. They are either hand-sewn using 'Coptic' binding, which originated in 4th-century Egypt, or Smyth sewn, which is the most durable binding technique and allows the journal to lie flat without page loss.
All Paperblanks journals use acid-free, archival-quality, high-opacity laid writing paper. Their journals also include a ribbon page marker and an interior storage pouch inside the back cover to keep your notes.
